16th Hungarian Easter Camp

Dear Friends from the Carolinas and elsewhere,

Join us for our 16th Hungarian Easter Camp! We look forward to celebrating together with you with traditional “locsolkodás” (Easter sprinkling), egg decorating, crafts, dancing, singing, hikes, and games. This year we will have a Karaoke night on Friday and an exciting Hungarian folktale quiz. What’s more, a spectacular Saturday evening program with a concert and puppet show, delivered to us by our guests, the Fészer Banda. Old and new campers are all welcome! Please register by March 15 by filling out this  Google Registration Form and transferring your lodging and participation fees. Scroll down for further details!

Check-in: We can arrive and pick up our room keys from 12 pm on Friday, March 29th.

Check-out: We have to leave the rooms at 12 pm on Sunday, March 31st, but can stay in the common areas until 4 pm, and on the YMCA premises until 7 pm.

Accommodation fee: 

• Weatherford Hall: $176 (room/2 nights) 3 people (+1 rollaway bed for $10)

Camp rooms – occupancy

Attendance fee:

• Full event (Friday-Sunday):

  • Adults: $80

  • Children: $40 (3-12 years)

• Saturday full day (lunch, dinner and folk dance party):

  • Adults: $40

  • Children: $20 (3-12 years)

• Saturday 10am-6pm (lunch only):

  • Adults: $20

  • Children: $10 (3-12 years)

Registration deadline: March 15, 2024

Please be mindful of the deadline to help us plan the event.

Cancellation is only accepted until this date! (After that we will not be able to do refunds.)

Registration: filling out the Google Registration Form. 

Payment options:

• Via Paypal to carolinashungarians@gmail.com. IMPORTANT! When sending a payment, choose the “Family and Friends” option, so that the sent amount will reach us in full. If not the full amount arrive to our account, we will immediately refund the payment and ask you to resend it in the appropriate way.

The transaction is also free for you via Paypal, if it is made from a bank account. The fee for credit card payments is 2.9%+30 cents.

The application is considered final when the full amount (accommodation + attendance fee) has been received until the deadline.

Programs: we will keep you informed about the detailed programs on our website and on our Facebook page.

Additional information:

• We plan to make video recordings of some programs. If you or your family don’t grant us recording permission, please let us know.

• YMCA Blue Ridge does not allow pets on the premises. Smoking is forbidden, as is alcohol consumption in the common areas outside of our buildings.
