The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFA) of Hungary has announced a scholarship application for Hungarian Language and Cultural Studies for the 2024 academic year targeting individuals of Hungarian descent living in the Southern Hemisphere. The program aims to deepen knowledge of the Hungarian language and related cultural insights.
The program encompasses studies in Hungarian language and culture. Upon completion, participants are expected to take a Hungarian language examination recognized by the state. The scholarship covers full tuition fees, a monthly allowance of HUF 45,000, free accommodation, a student card, and basic healthcare services.
Criteria for selection include volunteer involvement in Hungarian communities, higher education studies, and a connection to Hungarian culture.
Application deadline is set for October 10, 2023, at 24:00.
Expenses not covered by the scholarship include travel costs to and from Hungary, language exam fees, and other incidental expenses.
