Our Voice

The annual Youth Forum of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) will take place in New York from 16 to 18 April. As last year, Parents’ House Public Benefit Foundation was given the opportunity to organize a virtual side event in conjunction with the Forum on 17th April.


What is it about?
Join us to learn more about the situation, challenges, rights, and support for young people in care. At the event, you will meet our international ‘Our Voice’ project and four young people from Hungary, Belgium, and Romania who are involved in the project.
Welcome speech by Widad Brimo, Youth delegate of Hungary to the United Nations.


Speakers:

  • Judit Regős, president of Parents’ House Public Benefit Foundation, Hungary: Opening and introduction of the international Our Voice programme
  • dr. Krisztina Novák, Rights Protection Commissioner of the Integrated Legal Services Office, Hungary: Enforcement of children’s rights in child protection
  • Zsuzsanna Márton, president of Asociatia Pro Agriensis, Romania: Youth in care – Special challenges and opportunities in Romania
  • Stefanie Deleu, programme manager, DeStuyverij, Belgium: Youth in care – Special challenges and opportunities in Belgium


After the presentations, we organise a Virtual Roundtable with the young participants of the Our Voice programme. Moderator: Judit Regős
